Prescription drug program set in Seymour

SEYMOUR — A prescription drug disposal program and information session will be held today at the Seymour Senior Center.
The public is invited to attend the event, which is hosted by the Seymour Police Community Division, the Valley Substance Abuse Action Council and the Griffin Hospital Parish Nurses.
Representatives from all three organizations will speak on a range of topics surrounding prescription medications, including common side effects, interactions between drugs and proper disposal of drugs.
Participants are asked to bring in unused and expired medications for disposal.

The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. No registration is necessary.
