Ansonia attack highlights pit bull debate

I'm not a dog person. I've never owned one, but I do like friends' and neighbors' dogs.

I guess I don't want the responsibility that comes along with being a dog owner. Caring for my indoor cat 24/7 is enough for me!

When I read about pit bull terriers biting people, I feel sorry for the victim, of course, but I also feel for the dog.

I realize the controversy is never-ending, but I just don't believe pit bulls are inherently vicious. It seems they are trained to attack.

Last night yet another person in Ansonia was bitten by a pit bull.

The dog is now in quarantine for 14 days, police said.

What do you think? Are there really "bad" dogs? Or are there just "bad" owners?

Just like children, dogs are not born violent or killers, they are raised to be violent.
Just look at the parent/legal gaurdians of the kids who are shooting each other and the owners of the pitbulls that are attacking people.
See the similarities? If you don't, you are naive.

Pit bulls attack, owned by all walks of life. Don't let an apologist determine your safety, its a bad bet, every time. From drug dealing thugs to oblivious upper class at the dog park, this happens every day! They were bred to dominate fights, with vicious capability and killer instinct. Much in the way of the grey wolf or bengal tiger, they don't have to be trained to be do such.

There will always be two types of societies livin here in Ansonia. When yous push us from our homes that we lived in for years because yous dont want to repair our buildins we now have to live in private rental homes in Ansonias nieghborhoods all over town. This affords us the opportunity to provide the protection we need by friending Pit Bulls. Four of my brothers and 3 of my sisters are scheduale to move to a rental ins Hilltop and two cute pittys are joinin the stay in the new cribs. Every political action in this town has an opposite and equal reaction in society. That’s the situation.
