Seymour church to host Lenten dinners

SEYMOUR -  Great Hill United Methodist Church will host a series of Lenten Pasta Dinners and Drama Studies on Friday, March 15, and March 22.  
The pasta dinners will be served from 5:30-7 p.m. at Fellowship Hall, 225 Great Hill Road.  The
menu begins with a salad, followed by  psta served with warmed Italian bread, beverage, and dessert.  
Cost is $6 for adults, $3 children 12 or under, and $20 for family of five or more. 

As an added feature, at 7 p.m. guests will witness a brief drama followed by a study and discussion of the dramatic presentation.

This project is a fundraiser for the church's Mission and Ministry budget which funds local and national missions.

Church to host Lenten potluck dinner, drama study

SEYMOUR - Great Hill United Methodist Church will host a Lenten Pasta “Potluck” Dinner and Drama Study Friday.
The potluck dinner will be served from 5:30-7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, 225 Great Hill Road.

Attendees are asked to bring either a pasta dish, salad, or dessert that will serve at least six people.  Breads, beverages, and utensils will be provided.

At 7 p.m., as an added feature to this dinner, guests will witness a brief drama followed by a study and discussion of the presentation.

This outreach project is sponsored by the Great Hill UMC Mission and Ministry Committee in an effort to further the church’s mission statement: “A Community of Faith committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ.”

Seymour church to host Lenten suppers, drama presentations

SEYMOUR - Great Hill United Methodist Church, 225 Great Hill Road, will sponsor a series of pasta suppers during Lent.

Each Friday the church will hold a meal, open to the public, which will be followed by a brief dramatic presentation of two Bibical characters who were witnesses to the Easter Story.
They will give their impressions of the event that changed the course of  history.

The series will begin Feb. 15 and 22 with potluck pasta dinners, which will feature the dramatic presentation of Judas, Peter, Chief Priests, and Caiaphas. 

The remaining Fridays - March 1, 8, 15, and 22 - will feature a pasta supper prepared by church volunteers.
Cost will be $6 for adults, $3 for kids, and $20 for a family of five or more. 

The meals will be served from 5:30-7 p.m., followed by presentation of the dramas.
There will be an opportunity afterward to discuss impressions of the presentations.
