Derby Public Library plans creative program for kids

DERBY - Children ages 8-11 are welcome to join the fun at Derby Public Library for Let’s Get Creative at 3:45 p.m. March 4.

This newly introduced program is a get together for those interested in the latest loom craze of creating jewelry using bands.

Participants may bring along their own loom and bands although the Library will have a limited supply on hand.
Browse through the Library’s collection of books featuring great designs for loom projects and more.

Registration is requested.

Kids to learn science at Derby Public Library

    DERBY - The Derby Public Library will host a science program at 2 p.m. Nov. 5 presented by the Regional Water Authority’s Whitney Water Center.
      The hour-long program is for children in kindergarten through Grade 4.

     Liquid Assets is a hands-on program discovering the properties of liquids with experiments and more.  
  
    There is no fee to attend, but registration is requested..

Art class for kids slated at Ansonia Library

ANSONIA - The Ansonia Library children’s department will offer an arts and crafts class for children ages 6-9 at 4 p.m. Oct. 28.

This program is free. The library is at 53 S. Cliff St.

Ansonia library to offer Colonial fun for kids

ANSONIA - The Ansonia Library children’s department will offer a program, Butter Churning in the Colonial Days, for grades kindergarten and up at 10 a.m. Aug. 13.
This event is part of the Library’s summer reading programs.
