Food Truck Festival Oct. 15 in Derby




 
DERBY - The 2nd annual Food Truck Fest hosted by the Derby High School Post Prom Committee will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 15 at Lou DeFilippo Field at the Ryan  Sports Complex on Chatfield Street.

The event is being held in conjunction with the Military Appreciation football game- Derby High School V. Oxford High School at 2 p.m. There will be eight food trucks and a handful of table vendors. Raffles and the decades football alumni will be on hand to reunite with others and to reminisce.
 
There is free parking, and gate charge is $5 from 1-3 p.m. only. Those with a Military ID get into the event free all day.
 
Proceeds from the food truck festival will benefit post prom activities, while proceeds from the football game will benefit local military families. The event is being done in conjunction with the Derby High School Athletics Dept.

Donations sought for Shelton Post Prom

SHELTON - The Shelton High School Parent Teacher Student Organization is sponsoring its 13th annual post prom immediately following the Prom May 17 as a way of keeping students safe during those potentially dangerous hours.

This year the Post Prom will be held at the Sports Center of Connecticut, 784 River Road.
The Post Prom is a gift from the PTSO and is free to all eligible students.

The event is open to all Juniors and Seniors regardless of whether or not they attend the Prom.
Underclassmen are admitted only if they accompany a Junior or Senior to the Prom.
The Post Prom runs from 11 p.m.-3 a.m.
Students will be able to enjoy all the activities offered at the Sports Center, again free of charge.

Activities include ice skating, laser tag, bowling, and miniature golf course, driving range, baseball/softball batting cages and arcade.
The event includes complimentary use of ice skates, golf clubs, bats and balls.
In addition, students will receive refreshments throughout the event and will be eligible to win fabulous raffle and door prizes.

Success of the Post Prom relies entirely upon the generosity of parents and the community at large.

Committee seeks donations for Ansonia High Post Prom

ANSONIA - The Parent Teacher Student Organization of Ansonia High School needs your help to support the Ninth Annual Post Prom Event May 3.

The goal is to provide a safe, fun-filled, alcohol and drug-free environment for students to enjoy the hours following the Prom. 

After the Prom students will be transported by bus from Ansonia High School to the Sports Center in Shelton where they will enjoy miniature golf, batting cages, golf driving range, duckpin bowling, arcade, ice skating, laser tag, plus many more activities. Food will be available.
                
This event is funded solely by donations. Checks may be made payable to Ansonia High School PTSO and send to:

Shelton parents seek post prom donations
