Shelton Legion Post 16 to hold benefit walk Saturday
SHELTON -
Sutter-Terlizzi American Legion Post 16 of Shelton, in conjunction with
the American Legion Department of Connecticut’s Third District, is
sponsoring a Walk-a-Thon to raise money for Connecticut Children's
Hospital. Those interested in participating may call adjutant Al Sabetta, 203-924-0898 for information.
The event will include a two-to three-mile walk. Bottled water will be provided for participants.
Post 16 meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
Any veteran interested in joining is encouraged to visit the Post at 295
Bridgeport Ave. or call 203-924-9887.

The American Legion family sponsors six Connecticut Children's Medical Center
Walkathons to be held Saturday: at Deep River's Valley Regional High
School track, Montville's Fort Shantok State Park, West Haven's boardwalk, Shelton's Riverwalk, Bristol's Rockwell Park and Putnam's St.
Marie-Greenhalgh Field.
The first 20 walkers at each site, who
turn in at least $25 will receive a Irish green "Kids Walk" T-shirt.
All those who pledge and turn in at least $500 will receive a Final
Steps Polo Shirt at a later date. This is the 22nd year the American
Legion's state organization has sponsored this annual three-mile Kids Walk.
