Valley's Silver Sluggers Hits 400th Gathering

Rich Marazzi

ANSONIA - Ansonia’s own Rich Marazzi recently reached a milestone with his 400th Silver Slugger baseball talk shop at Derby Public Library.

In front of his usual Thursday morning capacity crowd of baseball worshippers, Rich leads his interactive audience with topical baseball happenings of the week mixed with stories of yesteryear.

His guest speaker on this milestone day was Ansonia resident Bob Pollack, a former Evening Sentinel editor and sports writer. Mr. Pollack entertained the group with many wonderful professional and amateur baseball stories experienced throughout his sports writing years.
