Band offers fun evening under the stars

Last Fair Deal, a Litchfield County-based 'new American roots' band, entertains Tuesday night at the Gazebo on the Derby Green. About 150 people enjoyed the varied selections, which ranged from old-time string music, to bluegrass and folk. They also performed songs by the Beatles and the Grateful Dead. Musicians from left are Tom Hagymasi, Paul Howard and Phil Zimmerman. They kicked off the Cultural Commission's Summer Concert Series, dedicated to the memory of Lawrence J.
