Derby students to present 'The Music Man'

DERBY — Meredith Willson’s Tony-award winning musical “The Music Man” will be staged this week at Derby Middle School.
About 70 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders are participating either in the cast or the stage crew for the two-act show.
The musical is set in 1912 in River City, Iowa. Music teacher Kim Stoll is the director. It will be performed once, at 7 p.m. Thursday; snow date is Jan. 12.
