SHELTON >> A local man was set to appear in Derby court Thursday after
he allegedly showed a gun during a dispute Wednesday night and then refused to
come out of a downtown residence for about an hour after police arrived.
Jayson Karczmarczyk, 39, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm,
third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, interefering with an emergency call
and assault on a police officer after the incident, Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said in
a press release Thursday morning.
