Local Lawmakers Honor Seymour Students

SEYMOUR- In honor of Women’s History Month, State Representative Nicole Klarides-Ditria and State Senator Eric Berthel hosted an essay contest for Seymour 6th graders with the theme, “How a Connecticut Woman Made a Contribution to the State and/or Nation and How it Has Influenced Me.”

The winner and runner-up finishers were picked by the teachers at Seymour Middle School and were presented with an official state citation and pin. The winner and runner-up, and who they profiled, are:

First Place – Adelina Barreira – Caroline Maria Hewins

Runner-Up – Colin Stewart – Ella Tambussi Grasso
