Seymour economic development director to begin work Monday

SEYMOUR — A West Haven man with some past arrests will begin work here Monday as the new part-time economic development director.
First Selectman Paul Roy said during Tuesday’s Board of Selectmen meeting that a background check on Fred Messore, 41, did reveal he had one DUI arrest in 2005, which Messore admitted to, along with two arrests in 2008 and 2009 in West Haven and Orange, respectively, for disorderly conduct and interfering with police, which Messore did not disclose.
