ANSONIA >> The Ansonia Armory will open its
doors to residents for walking and exercise starting Monday, Jan. 6,
2014, Mayor David S. Cassetti said.
"During the winter months it is
very difficult for our residents to find a safe, warm place to walk and
exercise," he said.
"The Armory provides a location that many residents
are familiar with and a comfortable environment with good space for
walking,” Cassetti said.
"The Armory at 5 State St. will be open from 7-9 a.m. starting Jan.
6, and will remain open until further notice,” he said.
“I encourage all
residents to take advantage of this opportunity. It’s a great way to
get the blood flowing and shake off the cold weather with a nice indoor
walk.”
