BBQ at Derby store to benefit wounded warriors

DERBY >> A barbecue to raise money for Wounded Warrior Project will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Adams Hometown Market, Route 34 in the Walmart Plaza.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served, with all proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization dedicated to supporting wounded service men and women. A member from the Connecticut military will attend.
Since Memorial Day, all eight of Adams Hometown Markets have been selling WWP-branded IGA spring water and WWP-branded IGA hamburger and hot dog buns.
Ten cents per case of water and 5 cents per package of hamburger and hot dog buns have been donated to WWP.

Those items will be on display for customers to purchase.
