DERBY - As warm weather draws people to outdoor activities and sports,
Griffin Hospital is helping individuals prevent damage to their feet
with a free presentation May 14.
Podiatrist Dr. Luke Jeffries will present “Steps to Proper Foot Care,” a discussion about the best ways to care for feet and the risks and
symptoms for foot injuries and disorders at 6:30 p.m. May 14 at Griffin Hospital’s Meditation and Learning Center, 130 Division
St.
This talk is especially important for diabetics as the
disease causes poor blood flow to the legs and feet, which makes it hard
for a sore or infection to heal.
The event is part of Griffin Hospital's Healthy U “Tuesday Talks,” a
series of free wellness talks featuring Griffin Hospital medical experts
and community partners providing trusted health information and answers
to questions on a wide range of topics.
All Tuesday Talks are held in Griffin Hospital’s Meditation and
Learning Center at 130 Division St. Light refreshments will
be served.
To reserve a spot or for information, call 203-732-1511 or visit griffinhealth.org. To find out about upcoming Tuesday Talks, visit griffinhealth.org/programsevents.
