DERBY -The Derby Public Library is holding a reorganization meeting of the Friends of the Derby Public
Library at 6:30 p.m. April 14.
This once very active group
was established in 1977 as a non-profit group of community members to
foster a greater realization of the importance of the Library to the
community.
In the past, the group has sponsored programs, worked at
book sales, and bought equipment for the Library.
It was the Friends
group who worked to get the Library on The National Register of Historic
Places.
Teens through retirees are invited to this meeting to discuss
ideas and make plans to re-energize this great support group.
The library is at 313 Elizabeth St.
For information, contact Cathy Williams, Library Director, 203-736-1482 or
at cwilliams@biblio.org.
This is a press release from Cathy Williams, Director, Derby Public Library.
