Ansonia to re-start men's softball league

ANSONIA - Mayor David S. Cassetti Thursday announced an opportunity to join Ansonia’s Men’s Softball League.

"I encourage all residents and others who would like to be part of the team and will be committed players to take advantage of this opportunity," he said.
“This League has been inactive for over 10 years," Cassetti said.

"I commend our Recreation Director Jeff Coppola for organizing this effort. It is a wonderful opportunity for Ansonia residents and others to have fun and compete against other communities,” he said.

Ansonia's Recreation Department is organizing the softball league which begins in May. City residency is not necessary; anyone with leadership and commitment can join.

The team fee consists of a total of $400.
To sign up and be part of the Men’s Softball League and for information, contact Recreation Director Jeff Coppola, 203-231-2209 or the Men’s Softball League Director, Seth Gibson, 203-530-1253.

This is a press release from Cassetti's office.
