DERBY - The Derby Public Library hosts a book discussion series for patrons ages
11 to 17.
The next session will be held at 3:30 p.m. April 30. Participants will
review the story of 16-year old Hazel, a thyroid cancer patient and
clinically
depressed.
To help her deal with this, her doctors send her to a kid’s
cancer support group where she meets Augustus Waters who has lost his
leg to cancer.
The two become kindred spirits and fall in love. A trip
to Amsterdam, filled with both humor and
tragedy, plays a significant role in their relationship and their
lives.
The Fault in Our Stars, award-winning author John Green’s most
ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, explores the questions - How will I
be remembered? Does my life, and will my death have meaning? - with raw
honesty and emotion.
Multiple copies are available
at the circulation desk. Light refreshments will be provided.
Copies
will be available at the circulation desk while they last and
reservations may be made by phone or on-line.
