Jones Winery in Shelton wins awards in specialty food competition

SHELTON - Jones Winery, part of Jones Family Farms, recently won top honor for “Wine – Other White” and “Wine – Dry Red” and placed in the “Wine – Rose” category in a Specialty Food Products Competition.

Jamie Jones, owner and grower at Jones Family Farms & Winery said, "
It’s always an honor to be recognized for the hard work we do all year round. We strive to grow a great product on the vine, and it’s fulfilling to know the wine it creates can be considered among the best."

 
The Connecticut Specialty Food Association held its 12th Product Awards Competition at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. One hundred eighty-four specialty food items from Connecticut-based manufacturers were entered into 35 categories.
