Ansonia child's thoughtfulness commended
Ansonia resident Ava Naclerio, 6, talks to Ansonia Animal Control Officer Jean Roslonowski Tuesday morning at the shelter.
Ava, who just completed kindergarten at Julia Day Nursery and Kindergarten in Ansonia, collected food, toys and blankets for cats and dogs. She decorated a cardboard donation box and and collected items at school for about three weeks, said her mother, Rayna Naclerio.
With them is Harley, who is ready to be adopted. Patricia Villers/Register
Meeting Ava on Tuesday made me smile. It's clear she cares about animals.
I'm sure her parents are very proud!
