TEAM offers summer activities to Derby area families

Family Resource Center at TEAM, Inc announces Summer Programs for area families:
Summer Reading Program
When: Wednesdays, 10-11 a.m. on July 10, 17, 24 and 31
For children ages 5-8 to enjoy reading and learning new skills along with other activities at Derby Public Library. 

Zumba Fit Kids Club
When: Thursdays, 3-4 pm on July 11, 18, 25 and August 1
Children age 5-8 can move to the beat of Zumba, taught by a certified instructor and families can get tips on healthy eating and other fun cardio activities.  Program will be held at Ballroom Dance Sport, 33 Elizabeth St., Derby

Kinder Kamp
When: Aug. 19-23, from 9 to 11 a.m.
For Derby area children who are entering kindergarten in the fall.  The Kamp will be the introduction to cooperative learning and listening skills with a combination of academics, music and movement.  The week’s program will be presented by a certified K teacher at the Family Resource Center located at TEAM, Inc. 30 Elizabeth St., Derby.

Rhythm & Things
When: Wednesdays, noon-1 p.m. on July 10, 17, 24 and 31
For children from birth to 8, learn and explore with music and dance.  Children will be introduced to musical instruments, rhythm and beats.

Spanish Playgroups
When: Wednesdays, 5-6 p.m. on July 10, 17, 24 and 31
For Spanish speaking families and children (birth to age 8) to socialize, learn and network.  The groups provide a warm and supportive program including literacy, music and active play.  This program is held at the Family Resource Center, located at TEAM, Inc., 30 Elizabeth St.
