Registration opens today for Shelton Clubhouse

SHELTON - The Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley’s after-school registration opens today.
Registration is all online at www.BGC-LNV.org/Shelton Clubhouse/Become a Member.

Shelton public schools will transport Club members by school bus to the Clubhouse downtown (Booth Hill, Elizabeth Shelton, Long Hill, Mohegan, Perry Hill, Shelton Intermediate, and Sunnyside).
Van service is available to members from other schools (Shelton High, St. Joseph’s in Shelton, Derby Public Schools, and Seymour Public Schools).

Parents requiring van service must complete their children’s online registration by Aug. 20, allow two days to process the registration, and come in to the Clubhouse to complete the van registration and make payment by Aug. 23.
Registrations after Aug. 20 will not be on the van roster until the second week of school.

Parents not needing van service may register until Aug. 28. The Clubhouse will be closed the week of Aug. 26-30; registration will close from Aug. 29-Sept. 3.

Membership fees cover participation in the Club’s core programs—academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
Additional fees apply to snow days, holidays, school vacations, sports leagues, summer camp, and special events.
After-school membership starts on the first day of school in Shelton and ends on Shelton’s last day of school.
The Club is for boys and girls ages 6-18, of all ethnicities, races, and creeds. Trained professional staff provide members with positive adult mentors and role models.
Nationally recognized programs help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interests in the arts and sports, and explore vocational choices.

For schedule and fee information about the Boys & Girls Club, visit www.BGC-LNV.org.
