SHELTON — Police said a 49-year-old city man died overnight while trying to clear away snow from the storm.
The
unidentified man, who lived on Darrin Drive had been plowing his
driveway Friday night when his snowplow became stuck. He then began
clearing snow with a shovel.
"At some point, he was stricken," said Lt. David Moore.
The man wasn't discovered until 4 a.m., police said.
"A neighbor discovered him," Moore said.
"EMS used a snowmobile and a sled and dragged him away from the scene
like it was a ski slope rescue."
