ANSONIA –
State Sen. Joseph J. Crisco, Jr., D-Woodbridge, has announced plans for this year’s 27th anniversary edition of his annual Senior Fair from
11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Oct. 17.
The event is held each year at Warsaw Park, 119 Pulaski Highway (Route 243).

Senior citizens from throughout the area are invited
to attend and participate.
This year’s fair includes free blood
pressure screenings and free dental screenings.
Admission to the event is free for residents of the 17th District; a box lunch will be provided.
“I want to encourage all area seniors to attend
because more than 40 federal, state and local agencies and nonprofit
groups will showcase their expertise to help seniors keep safe, maintain
good health, stay informed, and avoid scams that
target seniors,” Crisco
said.
“There is no substitute for face-to-face contact with those
who can benefit; vendors routinely describe the pleasure they take
interacting on a personal level with senior citizens at this event.”
“This Fair has repeatedly served the best interests of 17th District seniors, proving itself every time as it matches products and information about services,
programs, and activities with those who can best use the information,” Crisco said.
“At this year’s fair we’ll also include
health food tips for grandchildren and information about how seniors can
continue making a positive difference in our community.”
This is a press release from Crisco's office.
