DERBY - A recent walk along the Derby Greenway raised more than $9,260 for the hungry and homeless at Spooner House, at 30 Todd Road, Shelton.
Nearly 100 people enjoyed the great weather and scenery along the Naugatuck River while helping to raise money for the services provided by Area Congregations Together, Inc.
Spooner House
staff thanks those who supported the 17th annual Walk for the Hungry and
Homeless. Walkers and their
supporters combined raised $1,767, while corporate
sponsors contributed a total of $7,500, including in-kind support.
This
year's sponsors included platinum
sponsor, Charter Arms; gold sponsors: AD-MERICA, Unilever
and Dworken, Hillman, LaMorte & Sterczala PC; silver
sponsors: Calvert Safe & Lock, Webster Bank, Naugatuck
