ANSONIA - Congratulations go out to the 131 members of the Ansonia High School
Class of 2014 who received their diplomas Wednesday evening at Jarvis Field.
Valedictorian Louis M. Nicoletti told classmates: "What an immense change all of us have gone through."
And of course there were beach balls floating in the air toward the end of the ceremony.
The Ansonia High School Band performed during the ceremony. Music teacher Maria Tangredi, director, is in a black gown at left.
The city is celebrating its 125th birthday this year, and the signs in the background were created by Sixth Ward Alderman Patrick Henri. They are displayed at city-wide events to commemorate that milestone.
