Ansonia store remains closed, but donations being accepted
A sign that was posted Monday morning at My Sister's Place, 380 Main St., Ansonia, remained up today.
The thrift store next door to the Asylum Nightclub that was damaged by fire early Monday received smoke damage.
Manager Nancy Cahoon said Friday all of the clothing in the store has been sent out to be laundered and dry cleaned.
A cleaning company will be wiping down every item as well, Cahoon said.
Donations of spring clothing, housewares, and costume jewelry are greatly needed.
Donations will be accepted in the rear of the store on West Main Street from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All proceeds from the store benefit BHcare programs that assist victims of domestic violence. Cahoon said the store should reopen by the end of the month.
