DERBY - Area seniors and their caregivers are invited to a free discussion
about how to stay healthy during the golden years and what their loved
ones can do to help.
Lionel Lim, medical director of Griffin Hospital’s Geriatric Assessment Center, and John M. Aversa, from Griffin Hospital’s Center for Bladder & Bowel Control,
will discuss and answer questions about common medical disorders that
develop with age, how to help prevent them and treatment options at "Healthy Aging" at 6:30 p.m. March 26.
The talk will be held in Griffin Hospital's Meditation and Learning Center, 130 Division St.
Lim is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, General
Preventive Medicine and Public Health, and Hospice and Palliative
Medicine.
The Geriatric Assessment Center at Griffin Hospital provides
comprehensive medical assessment and diagnostic services for senior
citizens who are experiencing age-related issues, including decline in
mental or physical health, memory loss, and frequent falls.
Aversa is a board-certified surgeon specializing in colorectal
cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases, pelvic floor disorders, bowel
incontinence and constipation.
The Griffin Hospital Center for Bladder
& Bowel Control provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for
individuals experiencing urinary or bowel incontinence.
The presentation is part of Griffin Hospital's Healthy U “Tuesday
Talks,” a series of free wellness talks featuring Griffin Hospital
medical experts and community partners providing trusted health
information and answers to questions on a wide range of topics.
All Tuesday Talks are held in Griffin Hospital’s Meditation and
Learning Center at 130 Division St.
