ANSONIA - Police Chief Kevin Hale announced this afternoon that the chief state's attorney's office will conduct a criminal investigation into alleged discrepancies in the operation of the Ansonia Tax Collector's Office.
The investigation will not be in the hands of the Ansonia Police Department.

Two Republicans said last week that the public trust has been violated.
