Rotarians plan event in new pavilion at Shelton Riverwalk

SHELTON - The Derby-Shelton Rotary Club is planning its first event at the newly created Derby-Shelton Rotary Pavilion on Canal Street.
Tickets are $30 a person and include German food, music, beer and wine.
They are available at TD Bank, Webster Bank, Jeff’s Appliance, Marks of Design and Smoke ‘n’ Bones BBQ.
The Derby-Shelton Rotary Pavilion (designed by Tate Associates) is a project that began in August 2008 when the very first Steak and Lobster Bake was held on the Riverwalk.
This event marked the beginning of a three-year fund raising campaign for the Pavilion.
The Derby-Shelton Pavilion is about building community, not just building a facility. This vibrant hub of our community will be dedicated to the memory of Richard O. Belden. It will be a destination where the community can meet, relax, learn and have fun together, providing diverse opportunities for new experiences and friendships.
Building the Pavilion on the Shelton Riverfront is a cooperative effort of the on Rotary Club, the City of Shelton, private donors and supporters.
Plan to join the Derby-Shelton Rotarians from 2-6 p.m. Sept. 16 (rain or shine).

The above is a press release from Derby-Shelton Rotary Club.
