Derby library to host discussion of memoir

DERBY - The Derby Public Library has scheduled its next Lunchtime Book Discussion for
12:30 p.m. Nov. 28.
The selected title is the enlightening and intimate memoir, Mrs. Kennedy and Me, by Clint Hill.
For four years, from the election of John F. Kennedy in November, 1960, until after the election of Lyndon Johnson in 1964, Clint Hill was the Secret Service agent assigned to guard the intensely private Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.
During those four years, he went from being a reluctant guardian to a fiercely loyal watchdog, and in many ways her closest friend.
This is the story of a man doing the most exciting job in the world and a tragedy that still haunts him today.
Multiple copies of the book are available at the circulation desk.
Participants are asked to bring a sandwich and a friend as they “chat and chew.” Dessert
and beverages will be provided. Registration is requested.
For information, stop by the Library at 313 Elizabeth St., call 203-736-1482 or visit www.derbypubliclibrary.org.

This information is from a release from Cathy Williams, Director, Derby Public Library.
