Griffin partners with TopSource to cut non-medical procurement costs

       DERBY- Griffin Hospital has announced its recent partnership with TopSource, LLC, a Boston-based sourcing company that assists retail and wholesale companies manage procurement costs across hundreds of indirect products and services. 
      TopSource is a division of Topco Associates LLC, the largest cooperative buying organization for retail food in the United States.
      Beyond grocery and food-service clients, TopSource has successfully expanded its customer base to include convenient stores, drug stores, restaurants, other retailers, and now its first healthcare organization.    
      TopSource's breadth of products and services span across multiple industries which can support companies in a variety of business areas such as professional and operational services, packaging, marketing, IT/Telecommunications and more.
 
Griffin Hospital is a 160-bed acute care community hospital serving more than 100,000 residents of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
In addition, Griffin serves as the flagship hospital for Planetree, an international leader in patient-centered care and has received national recognition for creating a facility and approach to patient care that is responsive to the needs of patients. 
For Griffin Hospital, the areas of business supported by TopSource is a strong fit to create greater efficiencies and control indirect expenses in non-medical related items.

Leveraging the purchasing power of its 60-plus customers, TopSource is working closely with the Griffin Hospital team to deliver savings in several business areas. Initiatives are being evaluated.
