Discussion to focus on 'The Christmas Train'
The library has scheduled a Special Holiday Lunchtime Book Discussion. It will be held at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 14.
The selected title is the heartwarming holiday tale The Christmas Train by popular author David Baldacci.
This is one of Baldacci’s few works where he has strayed from his usual fast-paced thrillers.
Banned from flying on airplanes after a hostile incident at an airport security check, Tom
Langdon is forced to take a cross-country train from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles at
Christmas time.
While aboard, he meets a host of unusual travelers, including rambunctious train personnel, lonely wanderers, a pair of elopers and the former love of his life, Eleanor.
Multiple copies of the book are available at the circulation desk.
Participants are asked to bring a sandwich and a friend as they “chat and chew.” Dessert and beverages will be provided. Registration is requested.
For information on either event, stop by the library, 313 Elizabeth St. , call 203-736-1482 or visit
