Smell forces evacuation at Emmett O'Brien Tech
Five Ansonia firetrucks were on the scene Friday afternoon at Emmett O'Brien Technical High School, 141 Prindle Ave., Ansonia for the report of a smell of gas. Principal Laurie LeBouthillier said there was "a purge from a boiler" that caused the smell. The incident occurred after dismissal. No one was injured. LeBouthillier said staff evacuated the building. The football team was at practice outside on the field at the time. Patricia Villers/Register
