DERBY - St.
Mary-St. Michael School seventh grader Makayla Naranjo recently won a poster contest that promotes Family Day on
Sept. 23 as a day for families to eat dinner together.
Makayla was presented with an iPod and a framed poster by Maria Maynard, Deputy Superintendent of Schools of the Archdiocese of Hartford and the Rev. Janusz Kukulka, Pastor, St. Mary Church.
A total of 54 elementary schools in the Archdiocese participated in this contest.
