Scheduled to begin Sept. 16, the work is expected to be completed in six to eight weeks.
During this project, existing water mains will be taken out of
service and temporary above ground water lines and fire hydrants will be
installed in the roadway shoulders to serve customers. Short scheduled
water outages will occur when
customers are connected to temporary water lines, and again when
customers are reconnected to the newly lined water main.
Due to construction, customer should expect minor traffic delays and detours during the working hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
“We greatly appreciate residents’ patience during this project,”
said George Logan, Aquarion’s Director of Engineering & Planning.
“We will work closely with our customers, contractors and local
officials to coordinate the work and minimize
disruption.”
John J. Brennan Construction, Luch’s Consulting Engineers, and
Heitkamp, Inc. were chosen as contractors for this water main relining
project.
