Shelton company supports Griffin 5K Walk/Run

DERBY - A Shelton-based company that provides wireless activity and health tracking devices for wellness programs is helping area individuals get active and also supporting local cancer patients by sponsoring the Fifth Annual Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital 5K Walk/Run.

FitLinxx recently became a sponsor of the Walk/Run, which brings together individuals throughout Lower Naugatuck Valley and the surrounding communities to run or walk through Derby and Ansonia in honor, memory, or celebration of a loved one and their cancer journey.
The event has grown from approximately 250 participants in its inaugural year in 2009, to more than 550 participants last October.
This year’s Walk/Run is set for Oct. 12 at the Center for Cancer Care, 350 Seymour Ave.
