Local 'Looking Up' TV show to pay tribute to Derby war hero

Sharing a programming note from Marc Weissman:

Photo: We are pleased to announce that a very special tribute episode dedicated to Derby's own Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, PFC Frank P. Witek, will air this week on "Looking Up: A View From The Valley" as follows:

DATE: Wednesday, September 11, 2013
TIME: 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM
CHANNEL: Comcast Channel 10 in the Valley area

The segment - aptly filmed on location at Witek Park in Derby - features local military veterans Bernie Williamson, Dan Waleski and Ray Gagne as they openly discuss their personal experiences defending our country as well as how PFC Witek's exemplary courage and unwavering patriotism continues to inspire so many.

It is worthy of note that this particular episode was originally filmed on what would've been Frank's 91st birthday and will also fortuitously air on the night of 9/11, thus apropos on several compelling levels.

Thank you to the City of Derby, to the three gracious gentlemen who gave their time and effort to our country and to this program, and to all of you for watching.

Enjoy the show. :)
