'SpringFest' to benefit 3 charities in Seymour

Event to feature food, live music

SEYMOUR – Want to sample fine wines and craft beers from around the world for a good cause?  Come to The Inn at Villa Bianca May 31 to a special event dubbed “SpringFest.”

SpringFest also will include a variety of foods provided by Villa’s talented chefs, along with live music, raffles, prizes, and much more.

The event will run from 7-10 p.m. at  the Inn at Villa Bianca, 312 Roosevelt Drive, Rt. 34.

Advance tickets are $45 per person ($50 at the door), and are available at Town and Country Wine & Liquors, 600 New Haven Ave., Derby, or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SpringFestCT

General inquiries may be sent to SpringFestInfo@gmail.com.

Proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association/Seymour Red, the Seymour Soccer Association and other local youth sports, and the Seymour Land Trust.

Al Bruno, President of Seymour Soccer whose son and daughter play, encourages everyone to come out for an evening of drink, food, and fun.

“The SpringFest Planning Committee has planned yet another wonderful fund-raising event to benefit three fantastic local charities,” Bruno said.

“SpringFest’s mission is to promote healthy living and youth sports (and) 100 percent of all profits raised at SpringFest go directly to our partner nonprofits," he said.

"Approximately 250,000 people in Connecticut are afflicted by the diabetes epidemic," Bruno said. "We have too many family and friends living with this disease.  Get a sitter, come out, catch up with friends, and make a few new ones while simultaneously supporting wonderful causes.  We are anticipating another tremendous turnout.  See you there!”
