Photos of Day of Prayer in Ansonia shared




ANSONIA - The 63rd National Day of Prayer event was held May 1 in Veterans Park next to City Hall.
This was an interdenominational event that featured participation from religious organizations across the City, including High Acres Christian Church, the Church of God in Christ, First Baptist Church, Walnut Hill Community Church, the Vertical Church and Church of the Assumption.

The event was organized by Vertical Church elders and Ansonia residents Pat and Larry Boemmel.

It featured singing by students from Assumption School.

Mayor David S. Cassetti read a proclamation from Gov. Dannel P. Malloy commemorating the National Day of Prayer.


The crowd gathered at Veterans Park in Ansonia for National Day of Prayer.
