The
Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley has received a
$10,000 donation from the Friends of Jimmy Miller Inc. to support its
homework program at the Joel E. Smilow Clubhouse in Ansonia.
The Friends
of Jimmy Miller Inc. has been a supporter of the Boys & Girls Club
for many years. Their donation will help run the Power Hour program,
which operates daily for Club members needing assistance with their
homework.
The goal of the program is to raise the academic proficiency
of participating members.
