First Selectman Kurt Miller congratulates Rose Petrowski. / Contributed photo

SEYMOUR - The Town of Seymour wishes resident Rose Petrowski a very happy 100th birthday.
First Selectman W. Kurt Miller joined her family, friends, and neighbors at Smithfield Gardens for a luncheon celebration Monday afternoon, her actual birthday.

Rose said she was eager to meet the First Selectman because she used to work for the mayor of West Haven.  Miller said, “I was honored to share this special day with Rose.”
Rose and luncheon attendees sang and enjoyed birthday cake in the dining room at Smithfield Gardens.  Rose was joined by her son Robert Caroti and his wife, Joan, of Orange.

This is the third of four birthday celebrations Rose will be attending.
She celebrated with family on Saturday, with church friends and family on Sunday, and will have a ladies luncheon on Tuesday.
Smithfield Gardens is an assisted-living facility on Smith Street.

The above information was provided by the Office of the First Selectman.
