Student leaders feted at O'Brien

ANSONIA - Emmett O’Brien Technical High School was the place to be Friday evening when the school's student leaders were recognized.
The event demonstrated that O'Brien has many leaders in the making.

The freshmen and their families were invited to a dinner where they learned about the leadership program and celebrated the accomplishments of all.
Teachers Cece Sheppard and Michael Dorchinsky proudly presented their students and welcomed all of the families.
They were able to not only share the work with their own classes, but now the students' efforts have been shared with their families and entire student body.
All staff members were invited to the cafeteria to see one of this year’s initiatives of displaying students' work taken to a new level.

The above was taken from a release from Laurie LeBouthillier, principal, Emmett O'Brien Technical High School in Ansonia.

It was a very enjoyable evening. It was very exciting to see all the children have learned about themselves and each other. I hope this type of class continues.
