SEYMOUR — Area kids who live for skateboarding and riding their BMX bikes could be catching some big air by summer.
The Board of Selectmen recently approved preliminary plans to have a skate park built on town-owned land next to the Seymour Community Center, 20 Pine St.
The Seymour Skate Park Committee, with input from local youths, has been working for a few months on plans for the facility.
