SEYMOUR — Why has Cemetery Road, a well-traveled cut-through in town, been closed each winter since 2008?
If you ask Public Works Director Dennis Rozum or Police Chief Michael Metzler, the long and somewhat curvy road is closed from December to March due to safety concerns, especially when it snows.
But if you ask resident Cliff Strumello, who has lived there for decades, he chalks it up to some town crew members having difficulty maneuvering the sharp curve in the middle with their snow plows.
