Cell phone stop leads to drug arrest for Ansonia man

BRIDGEPORT — State police pulled over an Ansonia man for using a cell phone while driving, but ended up arresting him on drug charges.
The Connecticut Post reports that Glenn Hines faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of narcotics outside the proper container.
Police say he was stopped on Route 25 near exit 5 at about 4 p.m. on Thursday because a trooper saw him using his cell phone. They say he also was driving with a suspended license.
He’s due in Bridgeport Superior Court on May 31.
