DERBY - The Derby Community Endowment Fund, held by the Valley Community Foundation, will hold its first fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Grassy Hill Lodge, 77 Sodom Lane.
Former Derby Historical Society executive director Rob Novak will give a presentation on the history of giving in Derby.
Tickets are still available at City Hall today or either library on Saturday. They are $50 each and include food and entertainment (including Danny Magic). For information or questions e-mail DerbyCommunityEndowment@gmail.com.
The Derby Community Endowment Fund will be used to benefit Derby schools and city beautification.
