ANSONIA - The Stars and Stripes Thrift Shoppe, 14 Jewett St., will hold a Mother’s Day weekend tag sale fund-raiser starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
No Vet Left Behind, Inc., founded by George and Mary Porter of Derby, runs the thrift shop and a food pantry. All of the proceeds from store purchases go toward assisting veterans.
The nonprofit organization plans to install a computer lab at the store location for veterans to use for job searches, Mary Porter has said.
