SHELTON - Shelton Police Detectives assisted by agents from the New Haven office of the United States Secret Service today raided a house at 52 Shinnacock Trail.
Detective Richard Bango had been investigating a case involving $20 counterfeit bills being passed at a local business in Shelton, according to Detective Sgt. Kevin Ahern.
In a press release Ahern said approximately $7,000 in different stages of print was seized in the search, along with other items pertinent to the investigation.
Kyle S. Ouellet, 22, of 52 Shinnacock Trail was arrested and charged with forgery in the first degree and is being held on a $15,000 bond.
Ouellet is scheduled to be arraigned at Derby Superior Court Wednesday morning, Ahern said.
