'Change of plans' in Derby: Downtown rehab work to begin for smaller tenants first

DERBY — There has been a “change of direction” in the proposed downtown redevelopment, according to Douglas Gray, president of Eclipse Development Group.
At a special meeting Tuesday night of the Redevelopment Agency, Gray said plans for the parcel will be altered because a major tenant is not ready to commit, while he is in talks with a few smaller businesses.
He said he wants to “move on those tenants before they land in some other area city or town.”
